Fire pump conduit

Does the conduit from fire pump controller/ats to the fire pump motor need to be concrete encased? Thanks

No,

They can be enclosed in a 2hr rated assembly, or be a 2 hr listed electrical circuit protective system.

Can we splice fire pump wiring? because we want to relocate existing fire pump to a different location and want to re-use existing wiring and extend it to new fire pump location. Thanks!

What I meant is ...can the conduits from ats to fire pump not be protected by 2- hour fire rated electrical system?

All the conduits come into ats is protected by concrete encased.

They are not required to have a fire resistance in the electrical room where they originate or in the fire pump room, unless they are otherwise required by 700.9(D).

But they would be required to have the rating where routed through the building.
