I saw some dummies install gas pvc vents like that here. I happened to be in the basement duing thier inspection. The inspector hit the vent piping with a 2x4. Doggone; pieces of pvc 45 fittings and pipe flew where.

You have got to use the purple stuff on that pipe before the glue. Then you can not pull it apart.

That is a code requirement...joints have to be primed then glued. If they are well glued, they will not fall apart...primer or not.
