Installing a recptical on the outside wall of a batheroom. It is with in 6 feet of the sinck but the bathroom has a door on it. Must it be a gfci. What code ???

I think a bathroom sink could still be considered a "utility sink", so if a 6' cord can reach the edge of the sink from a receptacle, GFCI would still be required per 210.8 (7).

Other than dwelling unit

Other than dwelling unit

210.8 (B) (5) deals with other than dwelling unit that requires the GFI with in 6' of a sink. And as was stated before if its not in the same area its not part of that area.(other than maybe a few exceptions) And so should not be required
