You won't find it in the code because it is basically zip cord, lamp cord or whatever you want to call it.

yes but iam bugged by the ? i wasnt sure of .I have my limited masters lic Iam from maine I can do up to two family dewellings but not comericial work

It is, also sold as speaker wire.

could also be used on refrigerators, room air conditioners, and kitchen waste disposals. See table 400.4 as Chris had stated and look under use column. I think it is weird that it can terminate a waste disposal (JMO).

And absolutely loved by the christmas lights folk, they use SPT everywhere outdoors...
