From nonfusible to fusible

Does anyone know of a kit or other cost effective method to turn an Eaton 3ph. 600vac 100A heavy duty 'safety switch' from non-fusible to fusible? Then again this job has so many issues this may be the least of my worries.
 
Given the cost of replacing the disconnect, what is the opinion of intercepting the conduit on the load side of the disco and installing a can with a 3 phase fuse block inside?
 
It's been a long time since I have done so, and things change for us dinosaurs, but back then, the cans were identical, even had the factory mounting holes tapped, so all you had to do was buy a fusible and install the guts.
