Emt-rmc couplings

MM, welcome to the forum! :)

They also make threadless couplings and connectors made specifically for rigid, in both setscrew and compression styles. I believe there are even threadless couplings for joining rigid to EMT.

If I'm going from rigid to EMT (and vice versa) I use a set screw connector and screw a threaded coupling on to it.

Around here the wholesale houses don't stock the "dual" listed fittings. They only stock EMT fittings which will work, but they are not listed. I always have them order the correct ones in for me.

You could also use conduit end adapters

In the larger sizes they are often listed for both but not the smaller sizes.

As Bob mentioned this is typically in sizes 2.5" and larger. That's because at 2.5" and above EMT and RMC have roughly the same outside diameter.
