I know this may be a touchy subject but I'm hoping that since we are all located in different parts of the country I could get an answer...

I'm bidding on a new construction pharmacy (think Walgreens/CVS/Rite Aid), what is a good SF price to double check my estimate to. I scoured through other sources (ie RS Means) and they don't really have something that fits this project. MC for everything and open air cabling allowed above ACT.

I'm coming up to about $20/SF and that seems kind of high.

Did a walgreens recently and will never do another. take out all relays switchgear and low voltage/fa work and lighting and occ and you might be around $18-20 A sq ft, but these jobs are nothing but a joke they even have their own wire spec'd that is 30% MORE than MC. they don?t provide specs at bid time an expect you to adhere to their ridiculous criteria afterwards. Make sure you account for all the walgreens specs because you wont get them with the bid package.
