Most strut these days is indeed listed as a raceway. But I don't think as anything else. It's hardware - like a bolt.

Solid strut yes, slotted strut no and I think most of us use slotted strut unless we need to use it as a raceway.

Did you ask the inspector what code section requires unistrut to be listed in the first place?

What do the instructions for the strut say? I honestly can't say that I've ever seen instruction for strut.

Sounds like an inspector thats after something $$$$$$$$$$$$$
Why should it matter unless he is questioning its strenth for some major heavy conduit

I suppose you are not allowed to use one brand of clamps in another brand of channel.

Better not hang raceways from lumber cut at different mills either.

You also cannot use more than one brand of raceway or fittings on any individual project

All conductors must be from same manufacturer.

P&S receptacle can not have a Leviton wall plate installed on it.

If service equipment is Square D you can not use Siemens safety switches or motor controls.

I can come up with many other items that must come from same manufacturer.

You also can't dig a trench with a Ditch Witch and backfill with a John Deere.
