Water heaters don't fall under this heading, right?
Thanks
Thanks
The question is would a service receptacle be required for WH's installed on a roof.
What would you possably need the receptacle for ? I believe a breaker lock would satisfy the disconnect. Must say i have never seen one on the roof, in attic yes
Work Light?
I thought abought that but think its pushing the code. What plumber would be on your roof at night fixing a water heater.
Ya I agree the plumbers first response would be " Your water heater is where?"
And if i hire a service man that does not have a flashlight or 100 foot cord I would be questioning if he is licensed. He would have a ladder but not cord ?
Under that logic we would not apply 210.63 at all. Just require all repair techs to carry a 100 ft ext. cord.

Its on the roof.
