Yes ago I had an inspector tell me I had to bond the gas pipe. I changed the service at the house and bonded the gas line. I got my butt chewed out by the gas company. I had to have a session between the inspector and the gas company so they could work out their differences. The gas company won. Now they use dielectric fittings.
I know 250.52 requires all metal underground water pipe in contact with the earth for 10' or more to be used as an electrode but I believe the fire code trumps that- not sure how or why but I would not bond on the load side of a dielectric fitting if it exist. Not sure what to do if it doesn't exist.
