I need to order about 2000m of cable for a few different runs. Just want to make sure im right.
One length is 290m, at 120v, and need to maintain a constant 11A. would anyone be able to assure me that I need a #4awg? Thank you

sorry I will explain a little better. I need to mailtain 11A at the load, a rectifier. will the calculation I came up with a 3c/#4 be correct? seems really big.

It makes a difference if you share the neutral.

If you have (2) 11 amp, 120V circuits with continuous loads, and you share the neutral, its like having a single 240V circuit (or 208V circuit if you have a three phase source).

So the % voltage drop could be half.

Thank you for your replys. not sharing neutral but might have to and I did that calculation at 5% vd. I have a problem with number #1awg because I can only fit a #4 into a 15A breaker with out using barrel lugs then into the breaker and changing lugs at the rectifiers. Thanks

That's about 950 feet. I'd look into boosting the voltage (or at least start with a higher voltage) and stepping it down to 120v at the load end.
