30-year-old Mitch Hunter has been approved for a rare face transplant.

Hunter was burned ten years ago when he pushed a live wire off a friend after a car crash.

He was jolted with 10,000 volts of electricity that burned his face and cost him part of a leg and two fingers.

For a while they were passing around an e-mail pic. of a guy who attempted suicide with a shotgun and blew his face off.
He was sitting in the ER, tubes going into his head. I assume he was also deaf by then.

Ernest Hemingway was more successful when he went the shotgun route. And Bruno Bettelheim, who survived Hitler's camps, chose a plastic bag when he was in his 80's.
