Many brands will fit GE but unless it is a ge breaker or listed for GE panels then it is not compliant. I have seen thousands of breakers in panels different from the breaker brand. They seem to work fine but...

Besides the UL issue. GE doesn't have a notched stab which is required for all other manufactures CTL tandem breakers. Unless this was a non CTL breaker I don't see how it would fit.

GE uses 1/2 space breaker that fits in between the full space stabs, I have never really seen a full space GE tandem as I have always seen the half space ones, now I think CH makes a certified tandem that is UL listed for GE and a few others.

It might be a NW Indiana thing because I have seen quite a few GE half space panels that have both stabs for full and half space, I don't care for the half space ones above 15 amps, as I have had to replace a few of these panels because of them burning the buss stab, I did once install full space ITE NON-CTL tandems to get a store back open after too many of the half space stabs burnt off, but we put in a new SD-QO panel that next weekend when the store was closed. (Wish I knew about the CH certified ones at that time)
