someone told me that you can not have more than two penetrations on a disconnect but cant find it in the book, is this true and if so can you tell me the code.

I never heard of that one. Ask `em for a Code reference ... he ain't going to find it.

The 600 amp disconnect I installed the other day had (4) 3" conduits penetrating it and the inspector wasn't concerned at all by the installation.

Kinda tuff to do if you paralleling with more than 2 conduits now ain't.
