There is an existing pull box above grid ceiling, now they convert the grid ceiling to gyp. ceiling, according to NEC, the box need to be accessible. It's better to relocate the box to another accessible spot (10 feet away) or provide access panel in gyp. ceiling?

I guess it just depends on what you can work with.
Is the new ceiling going to remain floating from the underside or attached directly to the ceiling stucture?
Look at the HVAC ceiling plan, you might just locate it around their trunks and grills that will breaking up the ceiling. Coordinate if at all possible.. or at least mention that you want to be in their Grill!
I've also seen lights that are layed even with the a gypsum ceiling, but I'll assume that they will be mounting to the gypsum. This could have also been an access point.
You might also consider moving the room power, frankly all circuits too... Go get some more billable hours.
