Could anyone here point me to an online "lighting calculator"? Somewhere I've seen a calculator that figures how many fixtures are needed to light a room to a particular foot candle.You punch in room dimensions, ceiling height type of fixture and lamps and wall and floor finishes and it gives you the # of fixtures needed along with a layout. Thanks.

Try Visual Basic Edition. Free and works well. You can even plug in the particular fixture info and see the difference from one brand to another.
