One service per building and six disconnects per service. I'm looking at a 100+ year old three story building that is being renovated into 6 occupancies (4 residential, 2 commercial offices, plus house). Will probably use 208Y/120.

What is normally done - add extra service?

You need to add a main, I would look into meter packs with a main.

Can you tell us what is in the raceway leaving the top of the main? Hopefully not unmetered power. Although it likely does not require that large of a raceway, maybe a GEC to water pipe?
