I am wrong about the 5' rule. Although I was always taught to stay 5' above the window at all times.

We have to remember good practices don't make it code. My first day as an inspector I failed someone for doing something I thought was a violation and something I would not have done. But I quickly found out after he challenged me to find an article, that it was just how I was taught and not code! I learned a lot from that 1st inspection:)

Very True. That is why I decided to look into the code further.
