Time Limit on Propsal

Is there a "normal" time limit that is stated on a written proposal for how long this estimated price is good for? 30 days, 60 days ?

This proposal is valid for 30 days from date of transmittal. Some of the spec we ready say your bid has to be good for 60 days. We also put a commodity clause in our proposals.

I don't always elect to use the nuke option with this, but I have ditched out on a few that I found out things weren't all they seemed by using that contractual out.

Seriously, I usually do 30 days. I have done 10 or 15 if I thought I saw prices going up on anything.
