No. I hate the code section that I am about to quote.

See 550.4(A)..........

Of course if you read the scope to the article first, you would stop reading......... Time for Change.....Not Obama's kind either ;)

In my opinion Article 545 applies

Manufactured Building. Any building that is of closed
construction and is made or assembled in manufacturing
facilities on or off the building site for installation, or for
assembly and installation on the building site, other than
manufactured homes, mobile homes, park trailers, or recreational
vehicles.

550.4 tells us that mobile homes used as job trailers must comply with all of the requirements of art. 550.

550.32(A) tells us that the service cannot be mounted in or on the trailer unless all of the conditions of 550.32(B) are met.

hope this helps.

I am leaning tor wards 550.4 still.....

545 definition of Manufatured Building states that it excludes mobile homes

Mobile home not intended as a dwelling unit - Makes it a little less homey!
for example, those equipped for sleeping purposes only, contractor?s on-site offices, construction job dormitories, mobile studio dressing rooms, banks, clinics, mobile stores, or intended for the display or demonstration of merchandise or machinery

It seams that this is a definition within the a code section. I don't see the requirement that it has to start out as a home....

Like I said......

Mobile home not intended as a dwelling unit -

You have posted the requirement

550.4 General Requirements.
(A) Mobile Home Not Intended as a Dwelling Unit.
A
mobile home not intended as a dwelling unit — for example,
those equipped for sleeping purposes only, contractor’s
on-site offices, ......

A mobile home that tells us whatever it is it is a mobile home first and foremost, now if the owner of this mobile home decided to use it for a job trailer then 550 applies.

It does not applies to a job trailer that left the factory as a job trailer.

Let me ask you this.

Why would the NEC want us to treat a job trailer a a mobile home?

Article 545 is there to pick up the slack.

I don't see how art. 545 applies to a construction trailer. Reading the commentary in the 2008 HB (I know it is not code) it explains the difference between arts. 545 and 550 in that manufactured buildings are not built on a chassis and are designed to be placed on a permanent foundation.
