For a parallel circuit with 3 hots and a neutral, is it legal to install 2 hots in one conduit and the last hot and neutral in the second conduit.

A circuit which has Lines 1, 2, and 3 conductors plus an associated neutral is called a multiwire branch circuit (mwbc, for short). All four conductors are not required to be in the same conduit, but any of the four which power an individual load or piece of equipment must be in the same conduit. In other words, the current of any single load or piece of equipment cannot be carried by conductors in different conduits.

I believe there is only one exception to the above and that would be reqarding service lateral/entrance conductors run in non-metallic conduit.
