I'm trying to design a control panel containing 24vdc power supply and related fuses. This will be installed in a C1/D2 location. I'm trying to avoid explosion proof box or purging. Since this panel is located outdoors in the north, it will require a panel mount heater, around 50 watts.
I have been able to specify all my parts as suitable for use in C1/D2 but I'm having trouble finding a suitable heater. Does such a device exist approved for use in C1/D2? Is a heater considered a simple apparatus so therefore there is no reason to have it approved C1/D2?
