I am working on a project for a neighbor who is furnishing some of his OWN materials. The home has had an addition in the back requiring the relocation of the service. The utility meter is now on the addition, and I have installed an 200 amp disconnect adjacent to the meter and 2" PVC underground from the disconnect to the existing indoor load center.
Here's the thing...my guy has purchased 100' of 4/0,4/0,2/0,2 MOBILE HOME FEEDER quadraplex..the type with the green conductor...
It's the same wire, RHH-RHW-USE, 600v, 90 degree c. sunlight resistant direct burial.

Any reason I can't use it between my disconnect and panel?

Thanks.

4/0 large enough?

4/0 large enough?

I thought 4/0 AL was only good for 180 amps after a breaker.

Our local inspectors would not pass the job unless you use 250mcm.

I think if the panel serves all the loads in the residence you can use 4/0. Just have to read that section and see though.
