Toner for Cat 6

My old Ideal toner does not work with Cat 6, and every time I go to use it the battery is dead (I don't leave it on)
I was looking at the Fluke Pro 3000, its on sale for $94.00 reg $150, will it be ring out the cat 6?
I couldn't find a singnal at all with the Ideal, going from terminated jack to a cut cable end, even stripping didn't help much.

Try connecting the toner output to wires on two different pairs. When you connect to both wires of the same pair the tight twists prevent you from picking up the signal.

What Don said! I just connect my $45 toner from Home Depot on the blue and brown pairs with never an issue.
