The search function is almost impossible to find what you looking for.

You can't no longer look for post by a certain member it will only pull up post started by that member, you can't use the "-" quotes to find a phrase, and search results are not in order.

Hey folks, Wayne brought this to my attention in the original Input thread, and I just figured out how to get around it.

There are two search types when you click on "Advanced Search". You need to click on "Search Single Content Type" tab, and then search "Posts" to find what you are looking for.

I'll get with Joe to clean this up, now that I figured out what was going on here. :)

You can also go to google.com et al and search

"483 phase" site:forums.mikeholt.com

and get 43 (-ish) results for your search phrase.

One of the things that really bothers me is how it decides certain words are 'too common' or 'too short' so they are cast aside.

I thought what I was searching for would be up to me.

All forums are like this. They toss out words like 'and', 'the', 'for', 'if' etc.
