I re wired my house in MC cable in california, (ventura County) and was wondering if there is a problem with putting a pull box in the attic for the home runs to go to and then running them through emt down to the panel. I figured this is the easiest way to allow for future installation of new circuts when I do my addition instead of running through the top plate to the panel and fishing. I haven't been able to find any code saying otherwise but would greatly appreciate input.

Running several smaller conduits would be best because a large conduit filled with conductors might lead to derating issues.

I would agree with Infinity small raceways may be the way to go so adjustment factors do not come into play. Unless the EMT is less than 24" then correction factors do not apply and you are allowed to fill the nipple to 60 percent of its cross sectional area
