I have never replaced the guts in a panel before. I called Rexel, they need to know the brand/model #. Anyone have a idea what brand it is? The main breaker looks like a murray.

Any advice on how to go about changing and or getting parts to do these types of jobsMain panel.jpg? Thank you for your help.

Can't tell enough of the details from your photo. Take some good photos of the

inside along with dimensions. Take what you now know & go poke around the

back room of your supply house. Or as Stew has said just replace the whole

thing.

I do not think it is a Crouse-Hinds / Murray, but looks like a Challenger, or a Bryant/Westinghouse/Cutler-Hammer BR, it's not GE, or ITE/Siemens.

Edit: My 1st choice is Challenger.

I would need a better picture of the buss/breakers. I'm with the replace with a new meter panel combo unit. Bending space changed so finding the right width buss to swap out will not work.

Time to get creative and think outside of the box.

Post better picture, my eyes are not as good as they used to be.

If you replace the interior bussing, how do you know it still complies with the UL listed configuration/material?

I don't think you can do it without destroying the listing of the assembly.

As others have indicated it may be difficult to find a replacement interior that is same as original.

As far as determining what brand it is - what kind of branch breakers are installed?

If the majority of them are all from one manufacturer that is hopefully the same manufacturer as the panel. You do have to consider that newer breakers may have come from an acquiring company - like Cutler Hammer BR breakers in a panel mostly full of Westinghouse breakers.

I understand wanting to replace the guts in this situation but, if it's romex, it may be easy enough just to cut a bigger opening and replace the whole thing.

If I were to attempt replacing the guts, I'd look at Lowes and Home Depot or a supply house to see if they stocked a similar looking panel. It looks a LOT like a Murray panel but the pic is, well..not so great :) I have a couple of those in my scrap heap and I believe they still make that style.

Bus is bus in these things. The main breaker style and placement will be the key. If it's a 125A main, plugged in, I would be able to find something to fit but, Im not afraid to cut holes so I'd likely opt for replacement.
