Hello to all- I have a church that currently has a 200 amp main panel feeding a sub panel, via a 60 amp, 240 volt breaker. The sub-panel is located in the same structure and all sub-panel circuits are protected by fuses. My question is: I am going to replace the fused sub-panel so can the sub-panel be a main lug or does it have to be a main breaker panel? Thanks to all who reply.

Main Lug is OK, if it is in the same building.

You get to choose main lug or main breaker. As long as you are there this would be a good time to update to a 4 wire feeder if practicle.
