When does it pay to get 20' lengths instead of 10' lengths. If you use 20' lengths you cut down on couplings, correct? thanks

I wouldn't consider 20' sticks unless it was an easy straight run.

The small sizes would tend to bow while handling them and the larger sizes would be too heavy and unwieldy to save any labor.

The delivery would be a problem with the longer lengths also.

All of the lengths come with a coupling anyways, so you wouldn't save there.

I think what you may have heard is the advantages of 20' lengths of PVC for trench work and duct banks.
This is a common labor saver.

Somebody shoot me if I ever have to use 20' rigid. But please, shoot the guy who ordered it, first.

On the other hand, 20' pvc is SWEET for long underground runs. So much timesavings...
