Has anyone here ever offered service agreements for resi customers and if so what's normally covered under the agreement? If we offer SA's we just want to make sure it's beneficial for us as well as the customer, thanks.:)

How often does the average home owner call an electrician for service, as opposed to installation?

Would enough people be interested in a service contract to make it a viable option?

Just what things would you as the electrician be willing to cover under such a plan?

Sorry Bob for the delayed response, thanks for your reply though. I was thinking , Panel evaluation and tighten all connections once a year, Replace any burned or broken receptacles as needed, Replace any bad or broken toggle switches as needed for a certain yearly fee.

It's a fine business idea but the problem is for resi I just don't see a need for yearly maintenance on the electrical system.
Also I'd be weary of tightening connections every year. Could do more harm than good. But like I said is it a good idea if the customer thinks they are getting a good deal on it. Then when actual problems come up they are gonna call you.
