LV lighting in deck stair risers

I am at a loss for LV lighting for a PT deck stair riser. I need recessed lighting to light up stair treads. There is 34' of wrap around stairs. We are just doing the top step. I need them to point down at an angle. The customer does not want anything large or boxy, so standard recessed rectangular tread light are out. So are the large 3.5-4" round ones.

I've looked over seagull, progress, lightolier etc, and crawled over dozens of pages on the internet.

The closest thing I can find in Dekor Millennium, I'm not sure if they are really UL listed.

Does anyone have suggestions or recommendations?

As always price is an issue.
 
If price is an issue tell the HO to stop being so damn particular. Out of all the manufacturers

that you listed & none are suitable ? Take a 2" hole saw & cut a hole where you need a light.

Screw some plexiglass over the hole with a christmas light bulb behind plexiglass.
 
I can imagine the twinkle ones being very cute.

When I said price is an issue, I should have clairified. They don't want to spend $2500 materials only. This is a T&M add to a flat rate job, they are getting billed for some of my research as well, they know it.

Just looking for what others have successfully used in the past, I have not used these much.

They may want us to hardwire the rope lighting, it does look bright enough. Since its an official PITA now, I will suggest a conveniently located GFCI receptacle. What they plug into it, that I may or may not have suggested, is none of my business.:angel: The only concern would be a rope light that has a bunch of LED's burn out. But, you get what you pay for.



Has anyone else here used rope lighting like that? I would love to share some additional pictures !!!!!!
