Is it permissible to jump the water meter with a separate jumper if in the original install the water meter was not jumped? And in a new install, would it be permissible to install a separate water jumper.
Also, when running a ground to a water meter (and jumping the meter) would it be permissible to continue to a ground rod at that point (continuos with no splice) rather than going from the neutral block to ground rod?
Depending on the answer to my first question, could a separate jumper be permitted across the meter, and the ground from the neutral hit the line in of the water service and than go to a ground rod?
Just wondering.
Thank you,
Rich
