Is it acceptable to add an extension collar on a square junction box, then exit the extension collar with another conduit? Example: multiple number of conduits fastened to a concrete wall using one hole straps, running horizontally. One of the inner conduits must feed a load at a certain point on the length of the parallel run. A box is inserted on that conduit for a straight feed through, and an extension collar is added to exit that junction point to install a conduit perpendicular to and over the other conduits of the parallel run. There has been a few discussions as to the code allowing or a violation concerning. Can someone set the record straight?
