Im relocating CT's that are mounted in a cabinet within the 2000amp gear box. As part of the install of a transfer switch, we had to set a free standing CT cabinet next to the transfer switch. We could not reuse the existing Ct's because the generator to be added would spin the meter, due to the set up. Now that we are moving the standard 4 bolt pattern cts, we need to bridge the gap. Aside from setting 5 slot lugs on each phase and bridging wire between it, in not having any luck. Seems like the makers of the cts would also make a bridge. Anyone know of any solutions similar to this.

Talk to the Mfg. of the CT cabinet you just installed. Since they build per your utility requirements, they could supply the bus links to match the CT's you just removed. We do it all the time, never had an issue in our area.

Like others have said talk to the manufacture.

I just ordered three today to replace 3,000 amp CT's. They were $100 each

I would be looking for documentation from the manufacturer for this modification. If its not in the installation instructions for this gear then they you would be required to have a NRTL relist the equipment after the mods.
