I am building a convention center with custom built lighting boxes which will contain a few plug in lighting strips. All of the lighting pieces are sold seperately. Should this lighting device be assembled and tested as a complete unit? It is a 40 ft plastic shaped box that will have lights installed inside. Would the wattage have to be over a certain amount before worrying about heat being trapped inside.

410.6 Listing Required. All luminaires and lampholders
shall be listed.

Luminaire.
A complete lighting unit consisting of a light
source such as a lamp or lamps, together with the parts
designed to position the light source and connect it to the
power supply. It may also include parts to protect the light
source or the ballast or to distribute the light. A lampholder
itself is not a luminaire.
