There are methods that some might have an opinion that it is a better wiring method, but the NEC allows NM if other conditions are met and its a much lower cost install, I leave what ever work is to be preformed up to the person that is paying the bill, as it is their money not ours.
This is a question you have to define "better" is it cost or quality your looking at?
