12v lighting

Hi everyone, here's my question........... i am installing nine 12v 20watt mini recessed cans by Liton in a soffit, they are spread over an area of approx 40ft. Will i be alright using 12/2 nm romex jumping from one to the next, with the last in line being approx 40ft from the transformer ?

You should be okay-- This is from Kim lighting.

I would split them up 5 in one set and 4 in the other. Make the closer ones the set of 5.
