Here is the link directly to the abbreviations. I noticed CCC is not in there- soon to be corrected-- It is current carrying conductor.
And no EMT.
Slightly more seriously, a lot of local jargon gets used here.
I have no problem with that considering the basis of the forum.
If I don't what something means I can, and do, ask.
Members here have been patient and polite in explaining things for me.
And I greatly appreciate that.

EMT and THHN do not need to be in the list - they are trade names more so than an abbreviation and are more universally accepted, and have been for years. Abbreviations like EGC, GEC, MWBC, CCC are more specifically used in places like this forum.

I would add MCA-minimum circuit ampacity which is something we use quite often here on the form.

LOL It took me a while to figure out what some of the abrieviations were after I joined this forum. The one I remember most vividly was "POCO". Must have read it a score of times when it finally hit me as to what it stood for.
Also it seems MOCP is missing as well (maximum over current protection).

Wasn't intended as a joke. It's an abbreviation I've seen here ad had it explained.
Electrical metallic tubing.
And, as it's descriptive, I wouldn't have thought would be a trade name.
Similarly with THHN.
"THHN Wire stands for Thermoplastic High Heat-resistant Nylon coated."
Again descriptive.

Those terms are in the NEC but I could add a few-- If I did THHN I would have to do all insulations and that gets a bit much. Maybe I could work on a link that does the wire insulation on it's own page. The trouble is figuring out what they all stand for. I will give it a shot.

I didn't mean to put you to a lot of trouble.
Being a foreigner, I regularly come across terms and abbreviations here that are unfamiliar to me.

I been on this forum for a couple of years and I still have to figure out some of the acronyms.
Trade names and slang are worse.

The "T" stands for thermoplastic insulated cable.
A single "H" means the wire is heat resistant.
"HH" means that the wire is heat resistant and can withstand a higher temperature. This wire can withstand heat up to 194 degrees Fahrenheit.
A "W" means that the wire is approved for damp and wet locations. This wire is also suitable for dry locations.
The "X" means the cable is made of a synthetic polymer that is flame-retardant.
The "N" is for the nylon coating that covers the wire insulation.
