Spec reads:

"At the contractors option metallic tubing using "Unicouple" type connectors may be used instead of tubing and individual couplings."

Is this EMT with the couplings already attached. Is this option they describe cheaper than the usual? THanks.
 
Yes it has either a compression or set screw coupling integral to the EMT. Works very well in riser situations. If lots of bends are involved I've seen a big pile of cut off couplings on the floor. :roll:

Thanks. A nice labor savings it seems but don't know if that is offset but the cost? How does the price compare to the traditional EMT with separate couplings?

It shouldn't be too hard to do a quick takeoff for a comparison.
