I am going to do some remodeling in a car wash and was wondering what type of conduit to use between imc and rmc? What is better and what advantages does each one have.

I think they use different grade of steel. I think RMC bends easier, and I know it threads easier.

My preference would be PVC as I have seen so much RMC or EMT eaten away from the caustic soaps used in them, but then I have seen some where they kept the place painted including the conduits that seem to last for ever, so I would say if a metal type raceway is used it needs extra protection, maybe PVC coated RMC?

IMC is cheaper, harder to bend eats up dies, RGC is easier to bend. If those are your options, I'd go with Ridgid

I would look at the following: stainless, PVC coated rigid, rigid, IMC, and lastly PVC if the conduit is not subject to damage. The cost factor will most likely eliminate the first two methods.

Likely made of different grade of steel, it also threads harder than RGS.

Id use PVC. Cheap and easy to work with as well as long lasting.
