Rommex question (more from an inspector perspective)

I was looking at a rommex job today and there were couple things that bothered me. The owner claims he passed inspection, so I'd like to ask some of the inspectors here if they'd pass or fail, and why:
1: All the vertical runs were "secured" with Ty wraps looped once around the rommex, and than tied around the stud. Sorry, I should have taken a picture. Sure enough the rommex seems pretty secure and is right in the middle of the stud. Just doesn't feel right.
2: In the panel the EC used these connectors:

Nothing wrong with them, except the EC has couple of them with 2-3 cables pushed through them. I always thought these were designed for a single cable.

So would you pass or fail?
Thanks

Cable ties are acceptable as long as the spacing from the front of the stud is maintained.

I'm going off the top of my head but I believe multiple cables are fine in the Arlington Black Button connector. You need to check the listing provided on the carton or website to determine what is and is not acceptable.

Not an inspector, but you never mention the size of the NM connector. To determine how may cables can pass through it, you would need to know the size, and then consult the Manufact specs..

By the way this connector is designed I always assumed only one cable can be installed.
The connector has 2 clamps (something like chinese finger cuffs) that allows you to slide a cable in, but it won't allow to be pulled out. If two, or 3 cables are inserted I can see where the cable can be pulled out. And I thought that was the design of the connect, we don't care if people pull it in, we care when it's pulled out.

Those connectors are listed for two flat cables.I 'm almost sure they're listed for only one round cable. As mentioned the manuf. will give the listing on the container. We use the same type install and all the info. is listed right on the side of the box.

If you look at ceb58's link those connectors are listed for a vast combination of cables including 2-12/3 NM's. I don't know if I've seen one that was listed for three cables.

Never knew more that one cable was allowed. Thanks for the link.
Home centers carry them. Its the only low profile bushing that snaps in from inside of box, when fishing wire thru old-work & walls.

They are not listed for installing from the inside of a box, If done this way it would not prevent a cable from being pulled out and that is one of the test UL performs when testing cable retainers.

Hubbell-Raco makes an inside the box NM connector. It's different from the one in the OP since it's locking mechanism is of the opposite orientation.
