I've done some searching in the forums and can't find my situation...

I have a commercial breakroom (not a "kitchen") that has a sink. There will be an icemaker (under counter) next to the sink with cord/plug connection. Since this is within 6', I realize it needs to be GFI (or is there an exception because it's under the counter?). However, since GFI needs to be "readily accessible" does that mean that it can't be under the counter behind the icemaker?

Same goes for the refrigerator. It is within 6' of sink but if someone has to move the refrigerator to get to the receptacle, I feel that makes it not readily accessible. Do you install a refrigerator receptacle on the side of the refrigerator then?

Thanks!
Amy

There are no exceptions for a receptacle being under a counter for commercial.

For the fridge you could use a GFCI breaker, install the receptacle off to the side, or feed the receptacle from a dead front GFCI or receptacle
