Load calculation??

I have a single family residence and the owner would like to add a 50A 120V load to existing service. It will be installed in the form of 3 20A dedicated circuits to a craft room that will have various cord and plug connected loads. Where would I include this type of load in a service calculation to see if the existing service needs upsizing? Thanks

Why would these loads/receptacles not be covered under the general load for a service unless specific appliances are to be attached?

I would think if you know what will be connected to these circuits then you can add the VA rating of each to the appliance section of the "optional calculation". Then see if it makes a difference on the service.

If the receptacles are for convenience then you don't have to add them in. They are already
counted for in the general lighting and receptacle section of the load calculation.

I am sure others will give their expert opinion.

You can list individual loads at 80% or 100% using the nameplate information.
