Ok I read my previous post again just to refresh and I am also looking at 310.13(a). I know the -2 on XHHW has to do with the temerature in wet/dry locations. What is the -2 on RHW?

Also, I hear so many people say -2 means it is 2 hour fire rated. What exactly makes it two hour fire rated? Do you look at the Insualtion and Outer covering column in the table? I have seen RHH cable that is marker 2 hour fire rated.

-2 means it is 90C rated for derating/correction in both wet and dry locations. 2008 T310.13

Sorry,you already had table reference.

If you look at 310.16, you notice some conductors,ie XHHW, are in both 75C and 90C columns, the location wet 75C or dry 90C determines which column to use, now notice all -2 conductors are in 90C only.
