In California electricians working for a C-10 Electrical Contractor are required to be state certified. What if they are working for a (A) General Engineering Contractor? I don't see what the difference would be but that appears to be they way the law is worded. Am i missing something?

It makes absolutely no sense but it is fact. A B or a A licensee can do all the thelectrical within their company and never hire a experiences or certified electrician. This was discussed at great length prior to the law being passed. No one with clout from electrical contractors said boo. The IECA could care less. Where were you when the law was going through the proceedures?

Thanks but that states only employees of C-10 electrical contractors require a certification. It appears that no certification is required if the electrician is working for an (A) General Engineering Contractor. Makes no sense to me.

was it supposed to make sense?

now, a C-10 can contract, but cannot work as an electrician, working for another C-10.
not qualified, it seems. i have a C-10, a journeymans card, a LEED AP, a CALCTP certification,
and 'cause of the state government, i can't find a business left here who can be a customer, some days.

i have the C-10 and the journeymans license so i can work for myself.

this is the government, who brought us the volstead act, oil import quotas, 300 pound auto bumpers,

Who says you need the Journemans Cert to work for yourself? NOT True......

YOu cannot be an employee of another C-10, You can be a sub contractor to the C-10.
You can be a Incorporated as long as you are the C-10 RMO.

Tell me where you may think I am wrong ,,,, Please so I can see where I read incorrectly.

well, ok... you ASKED where you were wrong.....

your mistake was in assuming everything i wrote was factually accurate.
it was not.

i've found that writing something 100% factually correct causes my
keyboard to lock up, and i have to reboot. so i place something
in every post here that is incorrect.

thanks for checking up on me.

this is the state of california, and if you buy an air rifle in the state
of california, that uses a refillable tank to top off the rifle......

you need an air permit for $95 dollars a year, and you have to have
the tank filled at a facility maintained by the state of california to fill
air rifle tanks.

using a compressor to fill the tank with "untaxed" air is punishable
by a $10,000 fine.

and that is the truth.... so you see how hard it is for me to make
something up, in california, to keep my keyboard from freezing up,
when i have the state government making up crap like this.

it raises the bar almost beyond reach.

If CA would enact such a law that would be the last straw.
I would be the first to challenge that one. April fools to you. THrottle up!

http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2009/04/california-imposes-strict-new-regulations-on-airguns/

"AB 1984, recently codified into law. Under this bill, air rifle and pistol
owners will be required to pay an “Air Excise Tax” on all canister refills
and CO2 propellants. In addition, all refills must be done by state-licensed
air refill centers operated by the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
In order to qualify for refills (and purchase propellant cartridges), air rifle
and pistol owners must first obtain a state-endorsed “Air User Certificate”,
which will cost $95.00, renewable annually.
These new regulations take effect June 1, 2009."

any questions?
