Looking for a little advise, I have been asked to install a 2 pole 20amp gfi breaker for a pool pump. The pump is straight 240v no neutral, what should or should not be done with the load neutral terminal on the breaker?, should the breaker neutral wire get connect to the neutral buss in the panel?

The neutral pigtail on the breaker must be connected to the panel neutral.

The neutral terminal on the breaker will remain unused.

The grounded conductor on the breaker should be connected to the grounded buss so the breaker will work when you press the test button.
