rewiniding an oil immersed motor stator

working on a conveyer drum motor,where the motor is inside the cylindrical drum itself, the motor and gearbox are in constant contact with splashing gear oil.The stator has a shorted coil and has to be rewound,are there any special considerations to be aware of when rewinding a motor that is in constant contact with a petroleum based oil?

I used to support Vickers hydraulic systems, and they have an "IMP" integrated motor pump which pumps petroleum hydraulic fluid through the motor. I just checked the service manual for rewinding procedure, and it says

10. Reline stator slots with no less than Class H insulators.
11. Use a standard rewind procedure with Class H insulation.
