My understanding of the 2011 nec is that I have to
Run a neutral with every lighting circuit. Is this also true
For receptacle circuits in commercial and if so what is
The code article.
Neutral has to be run to lighting switch locations, or design must be such that one can easily be installed at a later date.

I have no idea what you are referring to regarding commercial receptacles. If 120V, you'd run a Neutral conductor to every receptacle... :slaphead:

New code in the 2011 cycle. Really hurts residential guys who swore by dead end three ways. Imo pita. The switch operates fine without neutral when wired correctly.

The op is talking commercial so if it is in conduit and a neutral can be pulled at a latter date then there is no issue. If you use mc cable then you need a neutral if there is no access to add the neutral at a latter date
