Jumper bar

Yeah, I did look for the label. Seems to be MIA.

Well I would guess that they are 125 amp rated if typical plug on miniature circuit breakers is what is used, but there is some chance they could be limited to 100 amps. Is not likely they are limited to any less than 100 as there would not be as much demand for one designed for less than 100.

Is there manufacturer and model information available, that would be a big help.

All I know is it's a zinsco (yeah, I know) 6 meter/main unit from the 50's or 60's. There are presently 6 40amp main disconnects and one owner is looking to upgrade.

I can get a breaker, just need to know for sure if the jumper bar has acceptable rating.

Maybe I'll check the other sevices at this complex to see if I can find a rating label.

Zinsco breakers! They need to be rated 1 gigaAmp:happyyes:

Could just use one of those molded case switches that plugs onto panel bus and is a switch only - no overcurrent protection. You would still have a disconnecting means - and would also have similar overcurrent protection:happyyes:

Doesn't the label indicate max circuit breaker allowed? That would be the designed rating.

found a label in an identical piece of equipment.

Zinsco Cat# MTML 22-ST

It did list which zinsco type breakers were ok to use, but unfortunately nothing about maximum OCP.

At this point, I'm leaning towards just running a seperate drop to a new meter pan/main disconnect.

Thanks for your effort.
