Gutter question.

On a job we noticed 1-6x6x6 gutter being used by both Panel A and Panel B, 208/120vac. Panel A fed by 400 amp CB and Panel B fed from Panel A with a 200 amp CB. Is this a violation to share the same gutter? Thanks.

If panel A was being fed by service entrance conductors I believe it would be,
But if it was being fed with a feeder then no, it is not a violation.

I am doing a class on the NEC and we covered raceways this week. I covered Article 366 and one student raised his little hand with a puzzled look. I asked yes. He then said something that made me laugh which is something no instructor should ever do but I couldn?t help myself.

?Can wires be installed in the gutters?? He thought I was addressing those things that catch the rain.

I suppose he shouldn?t have been napping and paying a little closer attention. He was aroused when I started talking about gutters but hadn?t caught the first of the discussion
